Alessandra, born 2012

Alessandra's unique heart was discovered prenatally. We had planned surgical intervention similar to HLHS reconstruction. She is now 19 months and is between her Glenn and Fontan. She is such a JOY! She has so much strength and distinguishing qualities. The hospital time has caused some delays and we work through those with therapy and patience. She is still G-tube fed with minimal interest in eating by mouth. We visit cardiology frequently and will be planning the Fontan her 2nd year.
