Kaylen, born 2009

My daughter was born July 2nd at Abilene Regional. At first we thought she was just a healthy baby, but an hour later our whole world came crashing down. She was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. We were told she was to be life flighted to Dallas Texas and have open heart surgery. There we found hope through the passionate and supportive nursing and physician staff. She had surgery on July 8th with no complications.

 

Today, she is a very healthy and active little girl and other than her heart defect, she has no problems.  She'll have to have another surgery but that's unknown at the moment.
