Madison, born 2000

Madison was born in 2000 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.  She's had three open heart surgeries and is in kindergarten at Homer Elementary in Louisiana.  Here she is standing with her mother posing in a photo with the 4th grade class. 

Madison's mom, Crystal, contacted her daughter's school and asked to hold a loose change fundraiser for Little Hearts in honor of CHD Awareness Day.   Not only did they raise $531.09 in one week with only 400 students but they also brought awareness to many at their school and their community as their story and photo was featured in a local newspaper!  Congratulations to everyone at Homer Elementary!
