Pietro, born 2004

My son Pietro was born on August 6th 2004. I did not know he had a heart defect until one day before I had c section. He has Pulmonary Atresia with IVS. After birth they went in and punctured a hole where the pulmonary valve should be but that wasn't enough a few days later they put in a shunt. A year later they close the shunt. His heart actually relax and grew enough where he hasn't needed any other surgery since. He will be 11 years old soon and doing great.
